The variable that makes the difference is what I call the <em>emotional bank account<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Anglin said couples  who don\u2019t have high emotional bank accounts turn bitter and angry toward one another.\u00a0 \u201cYou have to remember you are a team. It\u2019s really sad when you think your spouse is your enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anglin reminds us that hard times are not necessarily bad.\u00a0 \u201cI am always finding people drawing upon strengths they didn\u2019t know they had, and doing things they never believed they were capable of doing.
